What can you use the tool for?
Sosyal Medya Çekilişi supports giveaways on Instagram, YouTube, Twitch and Facebook. The service is available in English, Turkish and Azerbaijani.
| Platform | Supported giveaway source or platform |
|---|---|
| Comments and direct messages | |
| YouTube | Comments and live chat |
| Twitch | Live stream chat |
| Comments on Page posts |
For example, an Instagram comment giveaway uses comments as its participation source, while a YouTube live-chat giveaway uses live-chat participation.
How can someone verify a result?
The participant list is locked, and the result is selected using drand randomness specified in advance. Anyone can recalculate the result in their browser and check whether it matches the announced outcome.
The process follows these steps:
- Lock the participant list.
- Use the drand randomness specified in advance to select the result.
- Allow others to reproduce the calculation in their browser.
For example, a participant can check the calculation behind an announced winner themselves. This makes the selection process open to verification.
